Uncover Your Air Conditioner

As we get into the warmer months and you start to work around outside, I highly recommend making sure those air conditioning covers are removed from your system. Not removing them before operation could lead to significant and costly damage to your system.
All it takes is a five-minute walk around the house to make sure everything looks normal and ready for the summer season.  If you’ve covered your air conditioner, remove the cover and make sure the system is free of debris all the way around.
We get calls every year from clients who forget to do these things, and it can really take a toll on your system. In fact, it could cause you to have to replace it and spend thousands and thousands of dollars prematurely.
If you want to avoid the risk altogether, we at MoreVent recommend not using an air conditioning cover in the first place.  Your system is made to last in the winter months, through all of the snow and the rain. There are actually drain holes in the bottom that allow water to move through the base.
For leaves and debris that do get stuck, all you have to do is get on our Club Membership program. During our annual visit, we will remove the cover of your air conditioner, vacuum out the debris, and use a brush to ensure all the drain holes are operating properly.
We recommend avoiding covers altogether, but if you did cover your system, make sure to remove it before using your air conditioning this season. You can always call us with any questions or concerns at 1-610-257-7702.
